Vivekananda Jayanti/National Youth Day 12th January, 2025, Sunday
Today, the 12th of January, VKV Tumpreng celebrated the 163rd punnyatithi of Swami Vivekananda with great devotion and enthusiasm. The day started with pushpanjali arpan at six different places by students, parents and teachers. The half an hour program had mangalacharn followed by puspanjali arpan, Vivek Geet, speech and shantimantra. The second part of the celebration was kept at school premise at 10:00 AM, designed with different activities and presentations. The opening part had a very formal procedure with felicitation of the guest, welcome address, geet, speech, school report presentation, acknowledgement of the achievers of the vidyalaya in academic, co-curricular and sports fields. The next part had a very colourful aura highlighting the diversity of the nation and culture in the forms of geet, dance, skit, Gita Chanting etc. The program was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr Guru Prasad Upadhyay, Principal, Kapili College. The guest shared his intensive insights on Swamiji’s life, works, philosophy and importance in Bharat’s life and society. The celebration was winded up with shantimantra and Kendra Prayer followed by sweet distribution among all. A total number of 410 people were present in the celebration.
