Vivekananda Vidyalaya was established in Tumpreng, West Karbi Anglong, Assam in the year 2012 with the motto Man Making-Nation Building. There were 5 teaching staff namely Raju Dahal, Ebha Kramsapi, Mina Tokbipi, Juma Engtipi and Roshan Adhikari. And 1 non-teaching staff i.e. Rupjyoti Khaklari. The school runs under the guidance and in-charge of Raju Dahal. The school formed the Managing Committee before its establishment. There were 86 students and 4 classes from L.K.G. to II. Students comes from different places and communities like Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Assamese, Tiwa, Dimasa, Bodo, Bengali and Bihari. It is the only school which followed CBSE in Tumpreng area with the love and co-operation of both the parents and the people of Tumpreng the school runs very smoothly without any difficulties.
Vivekananda Vidyalaya come under the umbrella of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya on 19 th November 2015 on the auspicious day of 101 Birth Anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji (Sadhana Divas). At present there are 353 students, 22 teaching staff including Principal Sir and Supervisor Sir and 5 non-teaching staff.
